The chances of securing a PlayStation 5 remain frustratingly small for gamers, with Sony’s next-generation console sold out or available in very limited quantities from major retailers.
A combination of huge demand since the console’s launch in November and a shortage of supply that hampered production has caused both versions of the PS5 to come off the shelves in the past four months.
As has been happening since November, the best bet for players is to monitor the social media channels of different retailers and dedicated Twitter accounts to be alerted to upcoming drops and then act as quickly as possible.
Here is an analysis of the latest PS5 refueling information from Walmart, GameStop, Target, PlayStation Direct, Amazon and more.
Refueling Amazon PS5
Having been available at a limited number of select sellers last week, the PlayStation 5 is now sold out on Amazon.
Both versions of the console are listed as “currently unavailable” on the Amazon website, along with a message stating that the seller does not yet know when or if the PS5 will be back in stock.
Unlike other retailers, Amazon does not announce its refills in advance, but players can follow all updates by following Twitter accounts like @ Wario64 and @GYXdeals, which often have updates on refills.

Antonline PS5 Refueling
The PS5 is sold out at Antonline. However, the retailer said earlier on his Twitter account that it will make a limited number of high-end consoles available each week.

Best Buy PS5 Refueling
Best Buy had very limited PS5 availability earlier this month, but both versions of the console have already sold out.
The retailer has yet to announce when more units will arrive, but it is worth checking its website regularly for updates.

GameStop PS5 Restock
GameStop released a limited amount of PS5 last week. The consoles were part of several different packages that have already sold out.
The retailer has warned customers about refueling through its Twitter account, and players should follow GameStop’s social media channels for updates on further stock drops.

PS Direct PS5 Refueling
PlayStation Direct opened its queue at the end of last week, but the PS5 consoles have already run out.
To be notified when the queue opens again, follow dedicated PS5 replenishment accounts on Twitter, such as @ Wario64, @GYXdeals and @ PS5Updates, and enable notifications.

Target PS5 Refueling
After a limited refueling earlier this month, Target’s PS5s are again depleted.
Before the consoles ran out, they were only available online, with drive-up or pick-up pickup after the order was placed. There was also a limit of one console per customer. Both conditions are likely to remain in effect for future refills.

Walmart PS5 Refueling
Both PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition have not been available since Walmart’s last refueling sold out quickly in early February, when the retailer made more consoles available.
Walmart has not yet announced when it will launch more consoles.

PopFindr PS5 and BrickSeek PS5 inventory scanners
Inventory checkers like PopFindr and BrickSeek allow shoppers to see which stores at Walmart, Target, Best Buy and GameStop have PS5s in stock.
Some stores, however, have started to block these sites.
