New Mexico reports 9 new deaths, 200 additional cases of COVID-19

  • Man in his 80s from the county of Chaves. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.
  • A man in his 40s in Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying illnesses.
  • Woman in her 60s in the county of Doña Ana. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.
  • A man in his 90s in Lea County.
  • A woman in her 70s in Luna County.
  • A woman in her 70s in Sandoval County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.
  • A 70-year-old man from Santa Fé County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying diseases.
  • A man in his 80s from Valencia County.

The death toll of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 3,538.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported an additional 200 cases of COVID-19. As of Monday, New Mexico has reported a total of 180,761 cases.

  • 4 new cases in Cibola County
  • 1 new case in Colfax County
  • 2 new cases in Curry County

  • 13 new cases in Eddy County
  • 8 new cases in Grant County
  • 3 new cases in Hidalgo County
  • 5 new cases in Lea County
  • 1 new case in Los Alamos County
  • 2 new cases in Luna County
  • 19 new cases in McKinley County
  • 4 new cases in Otero County
  • 2 new cases in the municipality of Rio Arriba
  • 10 new cases in Sandoval County
  • 20 new cases in San Juan County
  • 3 new cases in San Miguel County
  • 2 new cases in Santa Fe County
  • 2 new cases in Socorro County
  • 1 new case in Taos County
  • 1 new case in Torrance County
  • 1 new case in Union County
  • 1 new case in Valencia County
  • 1 new case among individuals held by federal agencies in the Federal Prison of Otero County

KOB 4 determined that there was 2.5% positivity in the tests analyzed in Monday’s state report.

The state reports that 286 people are being hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.

As of Monday, there were 121,606 COVID-19 cases designated as recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
