
The early River Raid update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla arrives tomorrow on PS5 and PS4, Ubisoft confirmed (that’s February 16th, to be clear). Officially named Title Update 1.1.2, the patch will include the new River Raid activity, as well as a series of new skills to unlock, general game improvements and bug fixes. It is a very large download on Sony systems, weighing 11 GB on the PS5 and 10 GB on the PS4.

YULE SEASON: RIVER RAIDS GAME MODE
We added in-game support for River Raids.
- Prepare your Jomsviking crew for this new highly reproducible mode that will take you to unexplored regions of England, which is full of opportunities for invasion. New looting, rewards and challenges await the Raven Clan!
- River Raids Mode is part of the Yule Season content. It’s free for all Assassin’s Creed® Valhalla players and can be accessed in-game after downloading Title Update 1.1.2.
NEW SKILLS
- Berserker Trap:This traps your arrow, spreading hallucinatory dust. Any nearby movement causes the trap to activate. Surprise clueless passers-by!
- War cry:In a fit of rage, Eivor lets out a blood-chilling cry, gaining strength and causing nearby enemies to stumble back in fear, interrupting his attacks.
- Shoulder strike:Eivor gives a shoulder tap that pushes enemies back and destroys objects.
NEW SKILLS
- Assassin Carry:Automatically load a body after a successful murder.
- Assassin Slide:Slide over enemies and unbalance them while running.
- Power stroke:Trigger a speed increase on the long ship at the cost of endurance.
- Arrow Looter:Eivor has a better chance of looting arrows from archers.
- Ready to fight:Always start a fight with a slot full of adrenaline.
- Long Ship Brace:When you are in charge of the long ship, the crew will raise the shield with you.
GAME IMPROVEMENTS
SEVERAL
- Runes and resources used to upgrade Berserker equipment will be returned to the player’s inventory when an item is lost.
- Improved vibration feedback when fishing. Fishing goes BRRRR.
- Resolved an issue that caused players to exit disguise mode if players made any attacks during the race.
- Resolved an issue that prevented players from fishing at sea or off the coast.
- Resolved an issue that caused a school to take a long time to reappear after capturing one.
- Items purchased from the Animus Store will only be given to players after Vinland’s return to England.
- Changes to predator charge attack animations to give players a little more time to react.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the fabric from being available. Everyone liked that.
- Added purchase date to the items listed in the store’s own section.
BALANCE
- Diamond rune grooves removed from gear set parts, except torsos. The runes inserted in them will be returned to the player’s inventory.
GRAPHICS, AUDIO AND ANIMATION
- It addressed several graphics or lighting problems.
- It addressed several texture problems.
- Resolved an issue that caused the explosion VFX to disappear when the oil pots exploded. The oil pots will now go BOOM.
- (PS4 ™ / PS5 ™) Mount Muspell Warg will now burn with Hel’s fire!
- The blood of your enemies will now stain all your clothes.
- Addressed several character problems or NPC animation.
- It addressed several clipping problems.
- Resolved an issue that prevented Draugr from displaying visual effects.
- Resolved an issue that caused the arrows to disappear from the quiver after refitting the inventory bow.
QUESTIONS, WORLD EVENTS AND SECONDARY ACTIVITIES
- Fixed an issue in Storming the Walls, preventing players from completing the mission. Gunnar decided to join the festivities in The First Night of Samhain, allowing players to complete the mission. Party time!
- Addressed an issue that allowed NPC at the world event The Good Men of Sherwood to be killed. Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, dammit, what a day.
- Jomsviking equipment will now properly display its quality on the customization page.
- Resolved an issue that could cause Jomsviking to change shape and size on the menu when recruited.
- Randvi is ready to hear the news after completing the Arco Sciropescire, allowing the conclusion of the alliance.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from interacting with Tove after completing Carrying the Torch.
- Resolved an issue that caused some dice to be reused when both players used God’s Favor, giving 3 additional dice. Nothing else up his sleeve.
- Resolved an issue with the Fishmonger’s encounter that prevented the mission from being marked as completed after confirmation of death.
- Players will no longer be pale if they escape before fighting the Bard in The Devil Has All the Best Tunes.
- Players who load a save created after hitting Clues and Riddles will now be able to complete the objective.
- Fixed an issue in Extended Family that caused the boss to cause no damage during underground attacks.
- He addressed an issue in the Extended Family that caused the chief to be trapped near walls, to remain underground or not to engage in combat altogether.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the final order member from being revealed. Enough of Revealio!
- Resolved an issue in Binding Fate that prevented players from completing the encounter with the boss, as the boss can be trapped underground.
- Fixed an issue in Binding Fate that prevented players from completing the mission after speaking to Tyr.
- Fixed an issue in War Weary that prevented players from completing the mission after defeating all external NPCs.
- Resolved an issue that caused all members of the Order to be killed after killing a Zealot. This may just be the wildest problem ever seen.
- Fixed an issue in The Big Finish that prevented players from completing the mission when the hideout was visited before starting the mission.
- Fixed an issue in Blood from a Stone that prevented players from moving a load pile.
- He addressed an issue in The Prodigal Prince that made the goal stick if Eivor murdered the first training dummy before reaching the checkpoint.
- Resolved an issue that prevented players from interacting with Gotafrid Fair-Robes after the fight, if players threw them into the river. Yeeeeeet!
- Resolved an issue in The Twit Saga Part I, where the house sometimes didn’t catch fire, preventing players from completing the world event.
- I solved a problem in Degolas the Beautiful, which made the boy grow up. RESIST.
- Resolved an issue in Degolas, Belo, which prevented Degolas from leaving the water.
- Resolved an issue that prevented players from interacting with the Set NPCs.
- Fixed an issue in Crushed Dreams that prevented players from completing the world event because their wife was dead. The mission name is verified.
- Fixed an issue that caused the world map to become unavailable after speaking with Ceolwulf.
GAMEPLAY, COMBAT AND AI
- It addressed several NPC behavior problems.
- Mounts will answer the call for Eivor of the Quick Action Wheel.
- Resolved an issue that caused the NPC to die before it was hit. Call an emergency meeting.
- Resolved an issue that caused Eivor to tiptoe after being idle for a while. Eivor en pointe.
- Resolved an issue that caused decorative elements to appear in miniature.
- Resolved an issue that allowed players to obtain the Bow of Nodens using save / load actions. It had to be done.
AUDIO
- (PS4 ™) Resolved an issue that caused crackling sounds to be heard.
- Resolved an issue that caused dead animals in swarms to make idle sounds. I recognize Animus’ flaw when I see one.
PHOTO MODE
- Resolved an issue that caused Photo Mode frames not to adapt to the size of the game window.
- Resolved an issue that caused terrain rendering issues when moving the camera.
USER INTERFACE / HUD
- Addressed several UI / HUD issues.
- Fixed an issue that caused Premium Start Pack items to appear in Fine quality instead of Mythic quality.
- After finding Cola, its appropriate icon will be shown on the Order tab.
- Resolved an issue that caused contracts acquired from Reda to appear in the registration section of the Cent mission.
- Resolved an issue that caused contracts not to count towards the Viking for Hire progression.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from interacting with any items in the Reda store when Focused Browsing was enabled.
- Players will be able to switch targets with the mouse wheel using M and K.
- Fixed an issue that caused the stick input to crash after activating the Swap Sticks option during Cairns.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Call Mount prompt to appear whenever the whistle was used to attract enemies.
- Resolved an issue when pressing the D-Pad down, causing the Daily Concept Art to remain.
- Resolved an issue that caused various daily conceptual arts to be displayed on the world map.
- Fixed an issue that caused the mouse cursor to not be displayed when switching back to M&K after the controller was used as a single source.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the icons of the Order of Ancients from being changed based on the selected colorblind settings.
- Resolved an issue that caused control conflicts in Photo Mode if the Swap Sticks option was enabled.
- Resolved an issue that caused the legend backgrounds slider value not to be reset to the default value.
- Resolved an issue that caused exploration difficulty to be reset to Adventurer instead of Explorer when resetting to default.
- He addressed an issue that prevented the adrenaline bar from filling up after the second murder was carried out using chain murders.
- Added a button to stop fishing while aiming.
