Katharine McPhee is preparing to receive her first child, after announcing her pregnancy with her husband David Foster.
But American Idol’s fifth season runner-up is enjoying a quality romantic moment ahead of her scheduled date.
She covered the baby’s belly with a flowing red mid-length skirt on Sunday, while having lunch during a Valentine’s Day walk with the father of her unborn child in Los Angeles.

McPhee wished her husband, 71, a happy Valentine’s Day on Instagram, sharing a step back from herself in a red bikini while he kissed her neck.

She seemed to imply that she is going to have a boy, not just in the color of her coat, but with a blue butterfly emoji framed by two blue heart emojis in the caption.

Another source told Us Weekly in August that the couple was “definitely trying” to have a baby, and their daughters “are expecting [McPhee] having a child and fully supporting him. ‘
Foster has five daughters from previous relationships, including Allison, 50, Amy, 47, Sara, 40, Erin, 38 and Jordan, 34.
He and the future mom later made a virtual appearance at the GO campaign of the GO campaign in October, raising money for orphans and vulnerable children.
