In a message to Division 2 fans, Ubisoft said there will be additional content for the game this year. Title Update 12 was originally scheduled as the last major content update for Division 2.
The news came with few details about what the new content would entail, or how big the update would be. The means to continue the development of Division 2 supposedly arose due to the resounding support for the game over the years.
Today, we are excited to confirm that there will be additional content for The Division 2 coming later this year! pic.twitter.com/LRlTwVZEtp

When The division first launched in 2016, it worked about 3 years before Division 2, its acclaimed successor, launched in 2019. Now, completing its third year of development, Division 2 reached approximately the three-year mark that could – if development plans were similar – have seen a new Division the game came towards us.
With the content rolling through 2021 and the developers’ insistence that these updates were not initially planned, we can only ask ourselves what’s on the horizon and whether we can expect something big – like what Warlords of New York was, or more modest updates. We hope to learn more this year.
