6 episodes have passed since the second part of Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- the second season started airing and finally, viewers were able to watch the opening, which features Mayu Maeshima singing “Long shot”. THE Re: ZERO The creator explained because it took so long for the anime to reveal its opening!
While many speculated that it may have been due to the execution time of each episode, which went beyond the usual 24 minutes seen in most TV anime, but the author of the series, Tappei Nagatsuki explained that the real reason behind the premiere delay was due to spoilers!

In the Tweet above, Nagatsuki explained that the opening is “full of spoilers, so it could not have been reproduced since the beginning of the second part.” For those who were watching, after seeing the opening it was clear that it is full of spoilers for the stories that preceded the 6th episode, with many spoilers that would have burst if they were released with the first episode of the season, but it is good to have confirmation from the creator himself! It was also nice to finally hear “Long shot” after all this time!
