An employee of Pope John said he was fired after refusing to make pizza without running water in the building so he could be hygienic … and now, it looks like he is being a lawyer.
A TikTok user who answers @mommarhodey posted a video that she says her brother sent her from a location of Pope John in Colorado Springs, where he films his working conditions in sub-zero temperatures … which he shows they left their pipes frozen and without water to use at all.
The guy says he decided he didn’t want to make pies in that kind of environment anymore, because he thought it was disgusting … You know, because he couldn’t wash his hands. So, he left his shift earlier – but before doing that he wanted to make it clear what was going on.
The employee shows a water heater in the corner of the room and a tiny portable heater next to it that he says his manager installed in the hope of getting it working again … and running water in his restaurant. He also tries to turn on the taps around him, to no avail.

It’s his sister who’s sounding the alarm about it in her name – she posted some videos explaining what happened next … and you can believe it, she claims her brother was fired because of it. As you can imagine, she is super angry … calling it “unfair termination”.
She says she called the local public health department, which apparently told her that Pope John’s in question was closed until they could have running water back. However, this does not match what the sister here says she heard about Pope John’s team.
She claims that they have continued to work, despite the order of the officers. MommaRhodey says she alerted the BBB and Papa John’s corporate office.
We contacted the location of Pope John in question … they had no comment. No word from your corporate office either at this point.
