The launch of the Tom Brady Lombardi trophy during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers boat parade at the Super Bowl LV immediately went viral and many fans were impressed by the launch of the future Hall of Fame quarterback across the water.
However, a woman felt disrespected by Brady’s act.
Lorraine Grohs, daughter of Greg Grohs, the goldsmith at Tiffany and Company from 1967 to 1994, who created the first Vince Lombardi Trophy, was insulted by Brady’s decision to launch the Lombardi Trophy. And now, she is looking for an apology from the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

“I personally would like an apology, not just for me and my family and the other goldsmiths, but for the fans, all the football fans and the other players on the team,” Grohs told Fox4.
“I was upset that this trophy was dishonored and disrespected for being played like a real football,” added Grohs. “I have a great history with this trophy being made by my father and it is an honor and I know all the craftsmen who did it when my father was also there at Tiffany’s and it requires a lot of hard work.”

“I saw this trophy being made at the Tiffany factory and it is a beautiful trophy,” explained Grohs. “My father had to carve the seams, he had to carve the seams by hand. There is a newspaper article that shows him working on that trophy. The ball is made by hand and the base too.”

“I only watch the game to see the trophy come out,” said Grohs. “I like to see all the owners and football players just holding with such pride and holding and showing it to everyone and I get goosebumps … like now I’m getting goosebumps.”
Brady and the Bucs achieved a 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LV.
