Jeremy Lin went against the Knicks team in the G League

Linsanity hit the bubble of the G League.

Jeremy Lin went back in time and drained seven points out of 3 on Saturday night in his third game with the Santa Cruz Warriors since returning from playing in China to pursue a comeback in the NBA. The former Knicks star finished with 29 points and nine assists in the 124-116 victory over the Westchester Knicks.

The 32-year-old hit 7 of 9 beyond the hoop after making 3 of 8 in his first two games in the G League. Lin also had seven twists in 31 minutes.

Nine years after catching fire with the Knicks and becoming a sensation, Lin is back playing for the Warriors’ G League affiliate. He had offers to stay at the Chinese Basketball Association, where he averaged 22.3 points (in 33.8 percent for deep shots), 5.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 39 games during the 2019- season 20. Instead, he opted for a chance to return to the NBA, where he played for the last time in 2019 for the Raptors.

“I think it became very clear after the free agency was approved and I didn’t get a contract, there was no way to get a contract basically unless I went and showed it,” Lin recently told the stadium. “I played last year at CBA [in China] and I’ve had a good year and I’ve been healthy for two consecutive seasons, but there are still a lot of questions about my body and my health from league executives. For me, I had to go and play in the G League. ”
