In the WWE Elimination Chamber, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and King Corbin will fight inside the Elimination Chamber, which changed their career, for the right to challenge Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the same night!
In the February 8 edition of Monday Night Raw, 2021 Royal Rumble Match winner Edge sent shock waves across multiple world title landscapes when he announced that he would wait until after the WWE Elimination Chamber to choose which world champion he would face in WrestleMania. Four days later, at SmackDown, WWE official Adam Pearce initially planned for the head of the table to defend the universal title inside the elimination chamber in the same way that WWE champion Drew McIntyre would. Special Council Paul Heyman, however, used a technicality to explain that Reigns would not end up in the Chamber, but would face the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match winner on the spot on the February 21 pay-per-view.
In response, Pearce announced that they would qualify the Superstars for the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match. The exception to this, however, would be a Superstar who pushed The Big Dog to the limit, Reigns’ cousin … Jey Uso! Once out of the ring, Pearce also revealed that Kevin Owens would make the cut automatically – a decision that infuriated the titleholder.
Later that night, Sami Zayn and King Corbin qualified with a tag team win over Rey and Dominik Mysterio, and Daniel Bryan and Cesaro won the final two seats in the Chamber with a win over SmackDown team champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
The Elimination Chamber Match will start with two Superstars in the ring and four other contestants closed in their respective pods. Every five minutes, a compartment door will open, allowing another competitor to participate in the competition. This process will continue until all pods are empty. When a Superstar is fixed or finalized, that Superstar is eliminated and must leave the Chamber. The last remaining Superstar will challenge the head of the table.
Who will be victorious within the Chamber? And what will be left of them when they face the dominant Universal Champion ?! Don’t miss all the action from the WWE Elimination Chamber, broadcast live on the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, February 21st, at 7 ET / 4 PT!
