Since the launch of the COVID-19 vaccine in several areas, many companies have reported the effectiveness of their vaccines. However, there may be another way to combat COVID. Recently, former Brexit secretary David Davis went online to express his opinion on vitamin D, saying that a supplement could beat COVID-19. Via Twitter, Davis posted a study and gave some of his thoughts on the 16-page study, along with some corresponding figures.
Davis said: “This is a very important study on vitamin D and Covid-19. Their findings are incredibly clear. An 80% reduction in the need for an ICU and a 60% reduction in deaths, simply by giving a very cheap and very safe therapy – calcifediol, or activated vitamin D ”.
Thereafter, Davis said: “The findings of this large and well-conducted study should result in the administration of this therapy to all Covid patients in all hospitals in temperate latitudes. Davis concluded by saying that “the UK government should increase the dose and availability of free vitamin D for all vulnerable groups”.
