Warning: this post contains spoilers for the sixth episode of WandaVision.
With three episodes ahead, Marvel’s hit series WandaVision set up your own Endgame in its sixth edition, “All-New Halloween Spooktacular!” Formatted as a Halloween edition of a family sitcom from the early 2000s, as Malcolm in the middle, the episode featured Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), her sons Tommy and Billy, and newly returned uncle Pietro (Evan Peters) wearing homemade versions of their old comic book costumes – a touch that Marvel fans appreciated .
But the episode also increased the emotional bets for show-in-show characters, as well as for observers of the Marvel cinematic universe outside of the reality distortion Hex. Even as Wanda uses her Thanos-level psychic powers to keep the illusion of a sitcom suburb alive, Westview residents are starting to get irritated by their mind control. This includes Vision, who ventures beyond Hex’s (fourth) wall to plead for help from SWORD forces. But breaking through that wall also makes his revived body break – another powerful visual reminder that he is still a victim of the Infinity War.

when the vision was dying and he said “people need help” real hero over there– jade spoilers • wandavision (@ mysterih0e) February 12, 2021
Meanwhile, Wanda spends Halloween literally in the company of death: like Vision, Pietro is almost six feet outside the Hex – albeit in the form of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, not Peters, who was somehow transported to Westview from X-Verse. Unlike Vision, however, he has a clearer understanding of what Wanda is doing and why. “I am not a stranger and I am not your husband – you can talk to me,” he tells his sister, suggesting that he already has a window on his distressed mind. But there’s still a lot that he no you know, including how Wanda gathered his power to create this illusion across the city. “It is a very big leap in relation to giving people nightmares,” he says, referring to one of the skills she had already shown Avengers: Age of Ultron. He later teases her incisively when she goes crazy over the prospect of venturing out of Hex: “It’s not like your dead husband could die twice.”
Pietro’s somewhat friendly and mocking demeanor is consistent with the Marvel Comics version of the character, who often exhibited stupid tendencies. But some fans are speculating that Peters doesn’t only playing Quicksilver – he is also Mephisto, the diabolical trickster that many assume will still appear before the end of the series.

I just watched episode 6 (which was absolutely incredible), my theory of pietro is, for now, that he is mephisto (which I’m not very happy with, I wanted mephisto, but I wanted evan’s pietro much more) or he is pietro CONTROLLED by mephisto– syd. (@Iudziepsy) February 12, 2021

There is no way Pietro is not a mephisto and the fact that as soon as he shows up I get emotionally attached is making me sad

Frankly, SWORD will take a long time to resolve this event, even if Mephisto is not in the meta-human mix. At the end of the episode, Wanda expands his reality beyond its current limits, engulfing Darcy (Kat Dennings) and other agents in the process, turning them into clown versions of their MCUs. Now that she has more soldiers in her TV army, Wanda is prepared to take action against anyone who remains on the other side of Hex. Expect this impending battle to be the driving force behind the final three episodes – and we can see only one Avenger (or two) called in as a backup at the end of the series.
Okay, here’s my theory: wandavision is setting up Captain Marvel 2 with a photon, four fantastic ones for a cameo from Richards and the X Men opening the multiverse (Deadpool, SM3) and forming MCU mutants (Photon, QS, Speed, Wicked etc)
