We already knew that Nvidia was manufacturing a $ 329 RTX 3060 graphics card and today, the company has announced that it will make its GPU more affordable in the RTX 3000 series available in stores from February 25th. Retailers will open orders for the RTX 3060 starting at 9am PT / 12pm ET. Nvidia says The Verge will not create an edition of the founder of the RTX 3060 video card.
Designed to follow the old GeForce GTX 1060 Pascal cards, the RTX 3060 has 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. Like the other products featured in the RTX 3000 series, the RTX 3060 will also support DLSS and Nvidia’s RTX application suite.
With a new RTX 30 card coming later this month, we anticipate that the RTX 3060 GPU will run out quickly. These cards have been difficult to buy since last fall, when the RTX 30 series was launched. In January, Nvidia said it anticipates that the supply of its GPUs to consumers and partners “is likely to remain thin during the first quarter”, which does not end until the end of April. To alleviate the lack of supply and the very high prices, Nvidia confirmed yesterday that it plans to bring back its older RTX 2060 and GTX 1050 Ti video cards.
