Police say the aggravated buyer entered King Soopers in Parker City before 6 pm on February 3, while ignoring the network’s current facial coverage requirements. She was asked “several times” to comply with the policy, only to refuse.

The images captured by the supermarket’s surveillance cameras show the woman exchanging words with a supermarket employee, who is seen behind him, probably in an attempt to enforce the store’s mask policy. The suspect stops abruptly in the middle of the corridor, leaves the cart and returns towards the employee. She then slaps the employee at the supermarket while she is taken out.

After that, the suspect “fled the store” before it could be identified, according to Parker Police Department.

King Soopers management has confirmed that the woman is a “regular” at the store, but often refuses to wear a mask, claiming she has a medical exemption, reports Fox 31. Meanwhile, King Soopers instructs these customers to wear a cover alternative facial, like a shield, or take advantage of collection or delivery options.

Police say the victim now expects the unidentified buyer to be located and charged with harassment.
