Bucs star Chris Godwin gets a new phone after SB Parade Mishap, ‘S / O To The Plug!’

It’s GREAT to be a Super Bowl champion … just ask Chris Godwin, who received a new phone less than a day after he threw the old phone in the water in Tampa !!

Have you heard the story now … Godwin was having fun in Bucs parade at the Super Bowl on Wednesday, when his phone somehow dipped into the water and sank forever.

Godwin blamed teammate Scott Miller for the disaster … saying that his partner was responsible for the death of the phone.

Good news, however … after Godwin got in touch with Verizon to explain the problem, he said the phone company recovered in a matter of hours !!

Godwin and his girlfriend posted photos of the 24-year-old with his new iPhone on Thursday … both saying they were very grateful for the quick connection.

“The phone takes a dip in the river and 24 hours later, @verizon blesses me with a new one!” Godwin said. “I thank you all! S / O for the plug!”

Meanwhile, Godwin’s girlfriend said the delivery guy brought some wise advice along with the new phone … writing in his caption: “The Fedex guy needed a signature and then said ‘try not to throw this one in the water too’ . “
