In the coming days, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to check out a free trial for Overcooked 2. As in previous tests, this gives players access to the full version of the game, with all the modes and features that the paid version offers. Overcooked 2 is the most recent test, following Crash Team Racing Nitro-Container, that subscribers were able to verify last month. It’s a small perk for Switch fans and can be an incentive to check out the full version of the game once the trial period is over!

Before Crash Team Racing Nitro-Stocked, these full-game offerings generally focus on proprietary games, such as Pokken DX Tournament. Obviously, this was not just a unique thing for the service, and it seems that Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can expect to see more games like Overcooked 2 in the future. It will be interesting to see what other titles Nintendo will offer tests for, but fans shouldn’t expect to learn more anytime soon; Nintendo tends to keep these tests quiet until just before launch, so fans probably won’t know what to expect until the next one becomes available!
For those unfamiliar with Overcooked 2, the game is a frantic cooperative game originally released in 2018. Developed by Team 17 and Ghost Town Games, Overcooked 2 challenges players to cook and prepare meals in bustling restaurants with fantastic themes. Players can unlock various outfits for their chefs while preparing meals in interactive locations. The game has options for single player, as well as multiplayer locally and online. With the weekend ahead, this could be the perfect opportunity for subscribers to go online and experience everything the game has to offer!
The free trial for Overcooked 2 is live now and will last until February 16 at 23:59 PT.
