Taylor Swift to make a ‘new surprise announcement’ on Good Morning America

Taylor Swift has yet another ‘surprise’ reserved for her devoted fan base.

The singer and songwriter, 31, will make the ‘new surprise announcement’ during an appearance on Thursday’s episode of Good Morning America.

And just after the morning show revealed Swift’s appearance, fans began to theorize what the Grammy winner’s surprise would be.

Many of Taylor’s fans have suspected that she may be finally releasing some of her ‘re-recordings’ that she has been working on for the past year.

Swift has re-recorded his song released from 2006 to 2014, after the entire Big Machine Label Group catalog was sold – allegedly without his permission or knowledge – to Scooter Braun in 2019.

The albums included in Taylor’s seemingly kidnapped music catalog are Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012) and the ever popular 1989 (2014).

Although the catalog was resold to Shamrock Holdings for $ 300 million in November last year, Swift is able to “re-record” his songs under his contract, according to EW.

‘She is starting to abandon her re-recordings !!!!!!!’ tweeted an anxious fan on Wednesday, while many specifically guessed that the singer would be releasing her re-recording of her 2008 hit, Love Story.

Taylor gave her ‘Swifties’ a preview of the Love Story re-recording in December, when it appeared as a backing track for Ryan Reynolds’s commercial for Match.com.

Taking to Twitter to debut the commercial, Swift emphasized that, although her ‘new re-recordings have NOT been made’, she has ‘been working hard to bring the song to you soon !!’

In addition to some potential re-recordings coming your way, some fans of the Cruel Summer singer guessed that she may be releasing another album.

‘new weee album’ read a tweet, while another noted that fans ‘don’t need another album’ because their ‘hearts have been ripped out enough’ by their two most recent releases.

In July last year, Taylor surprised his fans by releasing a full album without any warning, titled Folklore, which became the soundtrack for many people’s quarantine.

Just six months later, Swift decided to do the entire ‘surprise’ release again, releasing Evermore, another full-length album, for his unsuspecting fans.

The last part of the Swift fan’s tweet referred to Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, which debuted at Disney + in late November.

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions was a concert film, captured in quarantine under strict COVID-19 protocols, which showed Taylor playing his favorite Folklore tracks for the first time.

She was joined by fellow musicians and collaborators Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff and Justin Vernon, who were also part of Evermore’s creation.

Fan would undoubtedly be thrilled to see some of his favorite Evermore hits performed acoustically by Swift and his music team.

Despite their big assumptions, Swift fans will have to wait until Thursday morning for the big reveal.
