When most video game developers partner with car manufacturers to bring real-world cars into the game, they tend to focus on vehicles that most of us can only aspire to own. It is not so with Rocket League Psyonix developer. Fresh from its recent collaboration with the NFL, the studio is partnering with Ford to bring the F-150 into its game. The truck looks as gaudy as you would expect. It is also a way that most Rocket League players don’t like it, but as the most popular truck in the world, you must imagine that many people will be in it.
You will have the chance to purchase it for a limited time between February 20th and 28th. The Ford F-150 RLE package will cost 1,500 credits. Includes the truck itself, two sets of wheels, boost, audio engine, decal and banner of the player. All of them were created with input from the F-150 design team, according to Ford.
The package is just the beginning of Ford’s foray into Rocket League and games in general. The company is sponsoring Psyonix’s Winter Majors event, where you will see the F-150 tow damaged vehicles and repair the field. The two will also host a special two-day Freestyle Invitational, where players will have the chance to win a true 2021 F-150.
