JEFF ZIENTS: We have been making steady progress over the past few weeks, getting more vaccine supplies, putting more vaccinators on site and creating more places to be vaccinated. We are on track to meet the president’s goal of shooting 100 million shots in his first 100 days in office. We have accelerated financial support to strengthen community vaccination centers across the country, with more than $ 3 billion in federal funding in 35 states, tribes and territories. We are putting equity in the front and center, partnering with states to increase vaccination in the hardest hit and hardest to reach communities.

We have launched efforts to bring more vaccines to pharmacies and community health centers. And we are building new vaccination centers from scratch in stadiums, community centers, school gyms and parking lots across the country. And today, I am pleased to announce that we will partner with the state of Texas to build three new community vaccination centers in Dallas, Arlington and Houston – communities hard hit by the pandemic. In Houston, we are building a large website at NRG Stadium, south of Dallas, a new website at Ferris Park, and in Arlington, a website at AT&T Stadium. Together, these sites will be able to manage more than 10,000 gunshots a day.
