The potential trademark of Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC expands to the US

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Taken from a series of Square Enix trademark lists that went public last month related to Final Fantasy VII Remake, the term “Ever Crisis” has has now been expanded to cover the US as well. It was filed six days ago and now means that the trademark covers Japan, Europe, Canada and Australia, as well as America. There is no word on Square Enix’s other recent trademarks (“The First Soldier” and the Shinra logo) at the time of writing.

However, there is now another trademark next to these three. Now registered across Europe, the United States and Australia, “The Isle Dragon Roars” has fans speculating whether it is the recent remake of the PlayStation 4 or the Nintendo Switch title, Bravely Default II. We will have to wait and see what happens to that one.

Anyway, there is a chance that news from Final Fantasy VII Remake will be shared this weekend as part of a digital show in Japan. The game’s co-director, Motomu Toriyama, launched a “special program” related to the remake last year. “There will be some things related to Final Fantasy VII Remake that will be revealed only in this show.” However, this translation has been contested since publication by Gematsu. The event takes place on February 13, 2021, soon everything will be revealed.
