No. 11 Alabama finally lost its first conference game of the year on Saturday, but is still comfortably at the top of the SEC ranking. Crimson Tide will try to get back on track with a win over South Carolina on Tuesday. Can Gamecocks resist and protect your home court?
Alabama (15-5, 10-1 SEC) fell to Missouri by just three points over the weekend and has now fallen short in two of the last three games. However, both of the most recent defeats were against qualifying teams. Guard Jalen Shackelford has led Crimson Tide in three goals in the last five games, and another strong performance from him will give the favorites an advantage.
South Carolina (5-7, 3-5 SEC) has just more conference wins than Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. Gamecocks also played fewer games than any other team at the SEC, so facing one of the most experienced teams in the conference is not a good omen for them. AJ Lawson led South Carolina in three consecutive games. He is fourth in the scoring conference with 17.3 points per game and will need a lot of help from his support cast to make this game competitive.

The best bet
Alabama has won 11 of its 17 games against double-digit unqualified opponents and has not lost to an unqualified team since mid-December. South Carolina has a bad record against spread, despite not having many games against quality teams, so the underdog is unlikely to cover against one of the best programs in the country.
