Hair (problems) today, gone tomorrow?
Tessica Brown, the Louisiana woman who was forced to seek medical treatment after using Gorilla Glue to comb her hair, says she is going to see a surgeon for help removing the product.
“I’m leaving tomorrow to see a surgeon,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon. “I will update you the second I hear from you again.”
Brown had previously been admitted to an emergency room in Chalmette, Louisiana, where he would have been instructed to sterilize water and nail polish remover to try to soften the glue. Now, she is flying to Los Angeles to meet Dr. Michael Obeng, a plastic surgeon, who offered his services free of charge, reports TMZ.

Brown originally shared his story last week, in a TikTok video seen more than 24 million times on Wednesday morning. In it, she admitted to using Gorilla Glue spray adhesive on her head, after exhausting her favorite hair spray brand.
Brown, who referred to herself as “Gorilla Glue girl” on YouTube, claimed that she has not been able to remove the glue since she sprayed on her ‘doing’ “about a month” before seeking help at the hospital over the weekend. In the days that followed, Brown said he tried conditioners, tea tree oil and coconut oil – as well as nail polish remover and isopropyl alcohol – to remove the glue, with no luck. She and a friend had some success with a superglue remover. , however, and managed to cut Brown’s ponytail, according to images shared with TMZ.

Now, the Los Angeles plastic surgeon will try to remove the rest of the glue from the hair and scalp in a procedure that could take up to three days and cost more than $ 12,000, the outlet said.
Meanwhile, Brown has raised more than $ 17,000 through an online fundraiser that she has organized to cover medical expenses. It is not clear whether she will use this money to cover travel expenses as well.
Tessica Brown is also considering a lawsuit against Gorilla Glue.
