South Carolina offers Indiana 2022 quarterback

The South Carolina Gamecocks technical team offered a three-star quarterback Tayven Jackson on Tuesday.

According to 247Sports, Jackson is the No. 19 professional-style quarterback ranked in the class of 2022. He is the ninth among Indiana state candidates.

Center Grove High School ended its 14-0 season with the Indiana 6A state championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Along the way, Jackson completed 113 of 182 passes for 1,756 yards with 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also ran for 191 yards and six points.

Nearly 30 schools were offered, including Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, TCU and West Virginia.

Jackson is the third 2022 prospect from Indiana to get an offer from South Carolina. Another four-star defensive tackle Caden Curry, was offered in January.

Last week, South Carolina offered four stars Tanner Bailey (Fat, Ala.). Gamecocks coaches were also in touch with Tevin Carter (Memphis, Tenn.), Four Stars Sam Horn (Suwanee, Ga.) And Ryan Burger (Myrtle Beach, SC). DeQuandre Smith, who plays as a quarterback at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, was offered as a guarantee.

Five stars Gunner Stockton (Tiger, Georgia) was previously committed to South Carolina, but is now on board with Georgia.

Gamecocks return only a quarterback with a scholarship to the team in 2020. Luke Doty was accompanied by three stars Colten Gauthier (Dacula, Georgia) in January. A few weeks later, the San Francisco transferee, Jason Brown, was added to the list.
