Britney Spears spoke amid renewed interest in her life and career.
The star’s backstory once again found its way into the spotlight thanks to the New York Times television documentary “Framing Britney Spears”, which chronicles her career and the difficulties that arose within her.
The show has led fans of the star to speak out against Justin Timberlake and Diane Sawyer for the way they have treated the pop star in the past, while also contributing to those who ask that Spears be released from her guardianship.
Now, the 39-year-old singer posted on Twitter for the first time since the documentary aired on February 5.

“I can’t believe that Toxic’s performance is 3 years ago !!!” she wrote along with the clip. “I will always love being on stage … but I am taking the time to learn and be a normal person … I just love to enjoy the basics of daily life !!!!”
Live performances have been scarce for the star in recent years, as her lawyer has claimed that she will not perform as long as her father, Jamie, has control over her life through guardianship.

“It is now important for people to understand that I have no respect for someone who tries to control our relationship and constantly throws obstacles in our way,” wrote the personal trainer in his Instagram story. “In my opinion, Jamie is a total idiot. I will not go into details because I have always respected our privacy, but at the same time I did not come to this country so I could not express my opinion and freedom.”
