The South Carolina men’s basketball team is gearing up to face Alabama at Colonial Life Arena. Both teams are coming off defeats with Crimson Tide losing their first SEC game of the season last Saturday to Missouri, while the Gamecocks lost at home to Mississippi State. Both teams are trying to recover with a victory with a 6:30 pm report on the SEC Network.

15:36, 2H – Gamecocks come out hot when Seventh Woods, back in the game with two fouls, makes a pair of buckets and Justin Minaya has a dunk to follow. Crimson Tide is also scoring. South Carolina cannot stop on the defensive line, other than a theft and Woods’ layup. John Petty hit a triple to put Albama on top for five, but the Gamecocks reduced the deficit to three with another Woods bucket. Alabama leads 50-47

The visitors’ came at a dunk by Keon Ellis, who dived into AJ Lawson, and was beaten on the court while trying to show the South Carolina guard. This led to a Minaya tray on the other side. After losing the front of a one-and-one, Alabama was able to recover and find John Petty for an open three-point corner.
