Alabama men’s basketball team Crimson Tide traveled to South Carolina for a Southeastern Conference match on Tuesday, February 9.

Alabama, ranked 11th in the Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Survey, enters the game 15-5 overall and 10-1 in the SEC. More recently, Missouri beat Alabama 68-65 on Saturday.

The South Carolina Gamecocks enter the 5-7 clash in general and 3-5 in the SEC. On Saturday, the state of Mississippi beat South Carolina 75-59.

South Carolina Gamecocks striker Justin Minaya came flying across the track to bury with the assistance of Jermaine Couisnard. Minaya’s basket with 18:45 remaining in the second half reduced Alabama’s lead to 42-40.

Alabama guard John Petty Jr. plunged into an offensive rebound after a 3-point loss to Jaden Shackelford. That put Alabama 28-26 against South Carolina, with 5:43 remaining in the first half.
