Britney Spears fans are coming to her defense.
The star is the subject of a New York Times documentary “Framing Britney Spears”, which aired on Friday and focused on her career, fame and public collapse, leading her to be placed under a tutelage supervised largely by your father, Jamie Spears.
In the document, Spears’ long-standing relationship with fellow pop star Justin Timberlake is examined, again drawing attention to their controversial separation, which, according to Page Six, sparked rumors that Spears was unfaithful.
The channel reports that Timberlake’s video “Cry Me a River”, featuring an adulterous blonde character, fueled such speculation, as well as a 2003 interview between the “Toxic” singer and Diane Sawyer, who questioned the actress about what she did to cause “so much suffering” for Timberlake.

After the document aired, fans of Spears, 39, accessed Twitter to share their thoughts on the subject, calling 40-year-old Timberlake for his behavior at the time.

“Watching Framing Britney Spears is a very easy way to be angry about misogyny, Justin Timberlake, and how we sweep all the girls and young people under the spotlight over the embers,” wrote a viewer.
“What are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s plans to finally make Justin Timberlake pay for his crimes against Janet Jackson and Britney Spears?” wrote another, referring to his controversial appearance during Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl halftime show, in which he appeared to tear up her clothes and expose her breasts.

“Everyone owes apologies to Britney, but especially Justin Timberlake and Diane Sawyer,” said yet another.
One bedroom added: “Justin Timberlake needs to prepare his apology …”
“I never liked Justin Timberlake and #FramingBritneySpears proved that my intuition was always right,” said another. “In honor of # SuperBowl2021 broadcasting Janet Jackson and Britney Spears today.”
