Now is your time to take action if you want Apple’s M1 Mac mini with more than a basic amount of storage. Amazon is selling a version of the tiny desktop with 512 GB of storage for $ 829, or $ 70 off its regular price and a new low for this setup. You can get the basic 256 GB model for $ 649 ($ 50 off) too, but it is clear that the cutting edge system represents the best deal.

Buy Mac mini (512 GB) on Amazon – $ 829

We have seen several Mac mini sales before, but they were almost always limited to the basic version.

This can be a great deal if you are looking for a compact desktop that still has a reasonable impact. As we found in our reviews of the latest MacBooks, the M1 is a transformative chip – it sometimes delivers the performance you would expect from next-generation desktop CPUs, let alone chips in this class. You can also expect a very quiet computer, even with some heavy workloads. 512 GB of storage is highly recommended if you plan to keep your local media or run larger applications.

There are limitations. This model still has 8 GB of RAM – it is more efficient than you expected, but this is not the computer for you if memory is very important. There are also only two Thunderbolt / USB-C ports that can limit your expansion and cannot handle more than two monitors at the same time. This does not include any hiccups for certain applications that have not yet been optimized for M1, such as some development tools. If you are simply looking for a fast machine for everyday use, you can have everything you need.
