Miranda Lambert recently shared photos of an “amazing” trip with her husband Brendan McLoughlin, revealing that while on the road, a car hit the couple on the highway before taking off without saying a word.
While traveling through Georgia on the way back to their home in Tennessee, the couple encountered an “erratic” driver.
“Unfortunately, on the way home from ATL, a hole in a small car with temperature plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and a semi truck going to 70 on I-20W,” Lambert tweeted. “He hit the draft and sent us to the left lane.”
She continued, “We skid very well, but we took the shoulder as quickly as possible to assess the damage. No one was hurt thanks to the good Lord. But nobody stopped either, and the car sped off. (Cool, brother) We are so grateful that nothing worse happened. “
Lambert, 37, added that he knew his mother’s prayers covered his family.
“Our vehicle and trailer could be driven, so we made a report and went home. I called Mom right away to say that I know her prayers are always heard, because I know that she prays for us every morning around 4:30 am. Especially when we’re on the road.
“And Brendan kept our trailer stable to be hit from the side,” she added. “Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southlandrv, we will be repaired and get back to our errant ways soon. Anyway, overall it was an amazing trip and we learned that we have a lot to see and a lot to be thankful for. “
Lambert and McLoughlin were married in January 2019, four years after their separation from country star and “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton.
