The Security check button is right here. Clicking on it does four things:

  • Checks for Chrome updates
  • Checks if any of your stored passwords have been compromised
  • Checks whether Safe Browsing is enabled and provides a link to adjust these settings
  • Checks for harmful extensions (which is not a bad idea, given the latest disaster with The Great Suspender)

If you want more protection, you can enable Increases protection under Safe browsing, and that will give you a lot more security, but it involves consenting that your browsing data is sent to Google.

Performing a Security check it is fast and offers more peace of mind.

Do it now.
