Ready for another wrinkle in the rumors surrounding Apple’s Project Titan automotive efforts? A report of Bloomberg says that despite (or perhaps because of) all the information leaking about a possible agreement between Apple and Hyundai / Kia, the negotiations “have recently stopped”.
The unnamed source backed up other reports, indicating that Kia’s plant in Georgia could serve as a likely manufacturing base for an autonomous electric vehicle if companies made a deal, and the report says the project has recently increased. In the past few days, a report from Japan Nikkei indicated that up to six Japanese car manufacturers are also in negotiations to work on the project, so time will tell who is in, who is out and whether or not this project turns into a real car.
