Eric Church says he is planning an American tour, but has not promised when it will be released.
A video message for fans shared on social media and YouTube offers few details, unless he will be playing in some cities for the first time and visiting some old places. Sitting with the guitar in his hands and a cozy scene in the living room behind him, Church offered the following:
Hey, guys. We are working on a tour of North America. We are waiting for the right time to officially announce all the details, but I want you to know that a tour is coming and we are very excited to play new songs for our old friends. Go to many of the cities we have already visited and to some new ones. As usual, the Church Choir will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets when they are on sale. I can’t wait to see you on the road.
The “Hell of a View” singer did the last tour in 2019 and most took time off last year. This year, he has several festival dates on his official calendar, but a full tour has not been announced. During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Church indicated that he was optimistic about being able to play for a large audience in the fourth quarter (October), since at that time a sufficient number of people may have received the COVID-19 vaccine, or the virus may be under control.
The new song he refers to are his songs Heart and Soul series of albums, with a three-part release scheduled for April. Of course, he is looking forward to going on stage and playing these new songs and his catalog of hits.
“Someone asked me if I would get the vaccine. I said I would take it in the eyeball to stick the strip on a guitar,” he said. LA Times.
