SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) – As a mass vaccination drive-thru clinic is up and running in Fort Bend County, the Hermann Memorial, which is supporting the county’s efforts, immediately completed 1,000 additional appointments scheduled for Friday in the afternoon
The clinic at the Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land is only open to those in Phase 1B, or people aged 65 and over. The appointments could only be made through the Hermann Memorial portal.
According to the hospital, office hours were from noon to 5:15 pm. They are no longer available.
The clinic started earlier this week, with about 16,000 COVID-19 vaccines scheduled to be administered.
On Thursday, SkyEye captured a fast line of cars and individuals outside the vehicles waiting to be vaccinated.
