Florida police are looking for a man who stole a car containing 30 vials of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The car was driven at 4 pm on Wednesday from the red parking lot of the Strawberry Festival Grounds in Plant City, the Plant City Police Department said.
The bottles were properly refrigerated at the time of the theft, police said.
The suspect is believed to be a man in his 20s, police said. He is described as having fair skin and long hair and wearing a light colored hood, police said.
The car is a gray Hyundai Accent 2018 with Florida NPJJ58 license plate, police said.
The car was put on “national alert”, police said.
Plant City is about 25 miles east of Tampa.
