South Carolina’s recruiting class ranked last at the SEC – The Athletic

COLOMBIA, SC – The South Carolina football team spent Wednesday’s National Signature Day in a large-scale sales pitch on social media.

The targets were the recruits of the future. The February subscription period has become a shell of itself since the creation of the initial subscription period. Most of the country’s prospects now subscribe in December. There were very few surprises nationally on Wednesday and none belonging to the Gamecocks.

South Carolina received four-player signatures – three-star defensive striker TJ Sanders of Marion, three-star linebacker Tavareon Martin-Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana, three-star linebacker Kolbe Field of Metairie, Louisiana, and the three-star cornerback La’Dareyen Craig from Mobile, Ala.
