Patrick Mahomes avoided the scare of the barber COVID-19

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was among 20 people scheduled to receive a haircut from the barber who tested positive for COVID on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said on Wednesday.

The barber was removed as soon as his fast positive result returned, but he had already started shaving Daniel Kilgore, from downtown Kansas City, and had cut the hair of wide receiver Demarcus Robinson on Saturday, forcing both players to join the Reserva / COVID-19 because they were considered close contacts of high risk. The barber was in the middle of Kilgore’s haircut, but Enlightened Schefter that Kilgore told the barber to finish the job because he was already a close contact.

Kilgore posted a photo of himself with his head shaved in half on Twitter, with the photo caption: #Newprofilepic.

Neither player tested positive for COVID and if they continue with the negative test, both players will be active for Super Bowl 2021 on Sunday, when the Chiefs will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Florida.

The barber reportedly tested negative on five consecutive days before entering the facility on Sunday.

Robinson managed 45 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season, but managed only a pass for 14 yards during two playoff games. Kilgore started four games during the regular season and served as a line assistant in the Chiefs’ victory over Bills in the AFC Championship game.
