Cold front to bring chances of weekend rain!

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A sunny sky is expected today as we move through the middle of the workweek. Today’s highs will reach just 50 degrees, 10 degrees below the average for this time of year. A clear sky tonight will bring temperatures back to almost zero on Thursday morning. The clouds will start to rise on Thursday, before our next chance of rain, which will arrive on Friday. We will probably start dry on Friday morning, but the rains will increase as the sky becomes cloudy and the breeze increases before our next cold front. This front will move south on Friday night and Saturday, leading to a temporarily drier climate. This front will rise north on Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning, bringing another chance of rain. It looks like moisture should start to leave the area on Sunday afternoon, leading to a dry start next week.
