It may be Groundhog Day, but Andie MacDowell’s hair is not bound to repeat the past.
During a recent appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show”, the 62-year-old said she was “loving” her decision to embrace her gray hair during the quarantine.
“I wasn’t dyeing my hair and you could see my roots, and my daughters kept telling me that I looked tough. And that idea that I might look tough attracted me, ”explained the actress.
“So I went ahead and I’m loving it.”
Although MacDowell has not decided whether she will retain the natural post-pandemic look, she is “enjoying” rocking the “silver fox” look for now.
“When I did that the first time, I went to the supermarket because we had nowhere to go and I thought he was beautiful, and I saw a man there … A guy you see and says, ‘He’s a silver fox,’” she said. .
“I immediately put my shoulders back and thought, ‘And so do I’ We kind of looked at each other and I thought, ‘I’m a silver fox.’ “
The actress strives to break the stigma of aged hair, revealing that she “always” corrects those who call their “silver” hair gray.
“It’s not that I’m letting go, I don’t think that way,” she explained.
MacDowell is not alone in finding a literal silver lining to being stuck at home, as Sharon Osbourne, Kevin Hart, Sarah Silverman and Hilarie Burton are among the many other stars hugging their ashes during confinement.
