Last week, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed an executive order to increase the state’s vaccination efforts and make more vaccines available. The issue, however, has been the number of vaccines the state has been able to receive.
To date, according to the ADHS, more than 702,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered to more than 579,000 Arizonans, of whom 109,000 have received both doses.

“We know that the demand for the vaccine is high and we hope that consultations will be filled quickly,” said ADHS director, Dr. Cara Christ. “Based on the success of the State Farm Stadium site, we can replicate these sites quickly to add capacity when we receive the vaccine. Our only limiting factor is the amount of vaccine we are receiving from our federal partners. “
TOMORROW: @AZDHS is opening registrations for another 21,000 #COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Arizona acted quickly to ensure that these doses of vaccine reach Arizonans urgently, rather than freezing. 1 /
