Timed Search
In celebration of the Year of the Ox, Tauros, the Pokémon Wild Bull, will be featured in Timed Research! Tauros is a unique regional Pokémon, so this is a great chance to get your hands on one, with brilliant potential too!
Bonus
Gifts
Gifts will contain more Poké Balls, so be sure to send lots of gifts to your friends. This is a great chance to ensure that you are fully stocked for the Kanto Tour event! Many of us are in some kind of blockade, so try to send gifts to those friends that you know can’t safely leave the house.
Lucky Friends
You are more likely to become Lucky Friends with your friends, so be sure to exchange gifts, battle raids and trade with them! Remember, we can currently open 35 gifts a day, which is a great opportunity for lucky friends, even if you don’t want to use remote attack passes or are too far away to negotiate.
Random Pokémon increase of luck
When you exchange a Pokémon (for a friend you are unlucky with), it is more likely to become a Lucky Pokémon. This is a great opportunity to work on those lucky dex additions!
Increase in trading range
The trading range will be temporarily increased to 40 km from Monday, February 8, 2021, at 1 pm, to Monday, February 15, 2021, at 1 pm PST (GMT -8).
Conclusion
This looks like a big event, with lots of incredible bonuses in addition to fun spawns, raids and the opportunity to get a bright and wild Gyarados that never goes wrong! The Lunar New Year Event is a regular event on Pokémon GO and looks like it will be the best of all!
