Nanit launches a Pro version of its smart baby monitor

Nanit is launching its third generation smart baby monitor, the Nanit Pro, as well as a new bedding that helps the camera track your baby’s height. The biggest change, compared to previous versions, is a slimmer new design and a better 1080p camera, compared to the previous model’s 960p. More importantly, the company’s breathing band, which was previously sold separately (although often released as a gift), is now included as standard. If you don’t know, the band is a cloth covered in dots, which allows the camera to monitor the baby’s breathing.

The new Smart Sheet, in turn, is a sheet suitable for a standard 27.5 x 52 inch mattress with a custom design pattern in the corners. This design allows the camera to better measure your child’s growth over time. Lay them on the bed, take a photo and use the system tracking and body map overlay to measure their length. The 100% cotton sheets are sold for $ 35 and will work with Nanit’s three versions of the bed cameras.

In terms of availability, the new Nanit Pro is available for pre-order today on the Nanit website and will reach retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy and Target from February 21. You can buy the wall mount version with an included breathing strip for $ 299, or one with all the trim for $ 379. The latter option includes the camera, wall mount, multiple bracket (for using the camera on the go and during the day), the breathing strip and a smart sheet.
