CVS Health will administer COVID-19 vaccines at 17 pharmacies in South Carolina as part of multi-state activation

The supply for the limited launch in the state, which is obtained directly from the federal pharmacy partnership program, will be approximately 15,300 doses in total. The participating CVS pharmacies are in communities across the South Carolina, Including Aiken, Anderson, Clemson, Columbia, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, Summervilleand Sumter. As more supplies become available, the company expands to more locations and offers additional scheduling.

Vaccines at CVS pharmacies participating in South Carolina will be available to individuals who meet the state’s criteria, which will be confirmed by the state prior to implementation. Patients must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and people without online access can contact CVS customer service at (800) 746-7287. Unmarked vaccination will not be provided.

The availability of COVID-19 vaccines in South Carolina is part of an initial launch in 11 states and includes approximately 335 CVS pharmacy locations in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Texasand Virginia. The vaccines will eventually be available at CVS pharmacies across the country, depending on the availability of the product, with the capacity to administer 20 to 25 million injections per month.

In addition to making COVID-19 vaccines available at local pharmacies, CVS Health continues to make progress in its efforts to vaccinate residents and staff at more than 680 long-term care facilities across the country.
