It was real all the time …
Well, here’s an absolutely important story that appeared out of nowhere and comes from a source that is just as random.
Comedian / TV presenter Adam Conover was recently on The Serf Times podcast to talk about an upcoming Netflix feature. This turned into a discussion about the rumors of the live-action adaptation of Legend of Zelda that Nintendo and Netflix were supposedly working on years ago.
In the discussion, Conover reveals that the project was really real, as he was linked to another Nintendo project at the time. This project was eventually canceled, as was the Legend of Zelda Netflix deal. Why was everything canceled? Nintendo was upset about the leaks about the Netflix business, which allegedly leaked from someone inside Netflix itself. When the leak spread, Nintendo decided to crush a lot of projects at the time, including the adaptation of Legend of Zelda.
