Rob Gronkowski describes how he got out of virtual training out of season with the Buccaneers

Have you ever been afraid of working out? Did you know that you have to do this to stay in shape and feel healthy, but it doesn’t make sense that day (or week or month)? In that case, you have something in common with Rob Gronkowski. During the off-season of 2020, NFL teams had to conduct training virtually, due to the social distance regulations brought about by the pandemic COVID-19. Duh. Everyone had to distance themselves, and the NFL teams were no different. Well, as part of the off-season training, Buccaneers players had to sprint and film themselves doing it so they could prove to the team that they were doing the program.

But Gronk apparently didn’t want to do that. So, he came up with a plan to get out of this. Instead of running every day and uploading the video, he ran several runs in one day, just changed his shirt in the middle and sent the videos on different days. Seriously.

You have to recognize Gronk. This is a brilliant plan. Of course, he could have had some hiccups if it was raining or cloudy on a given day, but assuming ideal weather conditions, he saved a lot of work that he would otherwise have to do. Sure, it probably means he wasn’t in great shape for the season, but he’s Gronk, so it worked out anyway. After all, your team is in the Super Bowl.
