The 2020-21 season was tough for Duke and got even worse on Monday night. The Blue Devils went to Miami and lost to the Hurricanes 77-75.
What makes this loss especially bad is the fact that the hurricanes were 7 to 9 overall and 2 to 9 in the ACC arriving tonight. Duke’s defense allowed Miami to throw 52.5% of the field and 53.8% of the three-point line. The Blue Devils were also sloppy with the ball in their hands during the 13 turns committed in the night. It was a brutal defeat for Duke, who may end up looking from the outside when March Madness begins.
Throughout the game, college basketball media were attacking the Blue Devils for another lackluster performance against a lesser opponent.
