Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view was to be the official main cast of Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley.
Priest and Ripley were scheduled to call up for the WWE NXT main roster for several weeks, and PWInsider reports that the pay-per-view was scheduled to be their official debut in the main roster.
There is no word on which Priest and Ripley brands will go, but the last word on Priest reserved him for a spot on the RAW roster.
Priest entered the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match at # 14 and was eliminated at # 16 by United States WWE champion Bobby Lashley. Priest lasted 15:34 and eliminated Elias, The Miz, John Morrison and Kane.
Ripley was 14th in the 30-Woman Rumble Match and was the last elimination, eliminated by winner Bianca Belair. It lasted 39:06 and eliminated Toni Storm, Santana Garrett, Dana Brooke, Dakota Kai, Mandy Rose, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, with the help of Belair.
Ripley’s last match on NXT TV happened on January 6 in the New Year’s Evil special, when she lost to Raquel Gonzalez in the Last Woman Standing fight. Priest’s last game on NXT TV also came in New Year’s Evil, when he was defeated by Karrion Kross.
On a related note, Victoria is not scheduled to be on RAW and it looks like her return on Sunday’s 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match has been unique for the time being.
