Trial coming to Xbox Series X / S, PS5, Stadia in April

Trial, Yakuza’s spin-off, will arrive on Xbox Series X / S, PS5 and Stadia on April 23. Originally a PS4 exclusive, the action game will hit new platforms with all its DLCs, “refined” visuals, 60 FPS performance and improved load times. It will launch at a price of $ 39.99 (UK and Australian prices not available at the time of writing).

Sega confirmed to IGN that cross-buying will not be supported for PS4 and PS5, and we were unable to get an answer on whether progress can be carried over from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. In addition, RGG Studios says it has no plans to release Judgment for PC at this time.

Set in the same world as Yakuza, and in its well-known Kamurocho district, Judgment tells a very different story, with an almost entirely new cast of characters. Focused on the lawyer who became private detective Takayuki Yagami, the game follows a mystery muder, alongside the usual bizarre side activities and missions in the Yakuza series.

We assigned Judgment a review of 8.2 / 10 in 2019, calling it “Yakuza’s superficial but extremely good detective experience”.
