Nike on Monday announced its first live speaker shoe, the Go FlyEase.

The user can slip on the shoes without bending over thanks to a “bistable hinge that allows the shoe to be safe in fully open and closed states,” said the company.

The design also makes it easier for the user to remove the shoe by pressing the heel with the opposite foot, Nike said. A “supportive jump mimics the action that many intuitively perform to take off their shoes,” the document said.

The shoe also has a “tension strap” that holds it in place when it is open or closed and a “trampoline” on the bottom of the shoe for a “continuous foot base for added comfort and stability,” said a Nike representative. Insider in an email.

Photos on the Nike website suggest that the shoe comes in three color patterns: a pastel theme; a black, red and blue scheme; and a dark scheme with purple, green and blue accents.

The shoes will cost $ 120, said the Nike representative.

Nike said the shoe, part of its FlyEase line, will be “available by invitation to selected Nike members” in North America, Japan, Europe, the Middle East and Africa from February 15 and will be “available from more broadly in the months to come. “
