As soon as GameStop’s short tightening unfolded, making millionaires of young pirates stage an invasion on Wall Street, a conspiracy of billionaires and institutions has grappled with the most important issue, which is: Yeah, but where do I fit in? At least one person asked when he could write the book that would become a film, and then, Deadline reports, MGM signed a contract for a Gamestop film.
Or rather: “acquired the book proposal The anti-social network by the New York Times bestselling author Ben Mezrich ”, who is still thinking about reading the book. Bitcoin billionaires and hedge fund investors, the Winklevoss twins are executive producers and, incidentally, have been circulating like the vox populi. (Presumably, the part where they be torn on CNBC comparing the Robinhood’s bargaining block for being forced to dine outdoors in Manhattan will be omitted in this story.) By the way, Mezrich wrote a book about the twins and also sold the rights to the film to that book before it is finished.
If you’re not following, members of the subreddit WallStreetBets did their homework and realized that hedge funds had bought large short positions at the GameStop video game store. Hedge funds bet that the stock would fall; in large enough numbers, retail investors (small ones) could bet against them and basically push up prices. They make money, hedge funds make several billion dollars to hit. (See a good overview for mannequins via WSB On here.) Soon this led to another series of at least a dozen other stocks inflating, although many WallStreetBets users have accused Wall Streeters of using these perhaps less-sold stocks as a distraction. Some also believe that hedge funds may be lying about selling short positions in an attempt to get Redditors to flee.
We still don’t know how it will end, but here’s what we know: someone will be stuck holding the bag – tradically it’s us –and hedge funds have broad support Resources to draw.
Typically, a successful film is made anyway.
Anyway, Mezrich already exposed his vision mid last week, tweeting “a cluttered band of redditers[sic] facing Wall Street is a pretty good argument for a movie, actually. ”On Friday, Deadline reports, MGM had acquired the rights to the film. This morning, he is choosing tweets This should goes in the movie and it’s also tweeting in scholars instructing them to cover the news of the movie that can go inside the film.

We will to see? It depends on whether tHey can get Helen Mirren attached. Willem Dafoe will play Reddit (speculative), Elon Musk will play yourself (confirmed, and yes, of course, he is involved) I’m not sure who plays the guy who loses his savings from it, but it’s an evolving story with many moving parts.
