A Los Angeles restaurant owner expressed frustration on Monday at the health department’s order to keep TVs turned off for customers after outdoor meals reopened.
James Brown, owner of the San Pedro Brewing Company, told Fox & Friends that the order to prevent people from staying outside restaurants will push them inside to watch the Super Bowl on February 7.
“The Super Bowl is always a busy day,” Brown told Ainsley Earhardt. “The idea behind outdoor dining is that people can go out and not come in and spread COVID. What’s going to happen at the Super Bowl? Everyone is being forced to go back inside. It’s frustrating.”
Brown is limiting dinners to 90 minutes to serve as many customers as possible after 10 “difficult” weeks of making only takeaway food.
“It has definitely been a roller coaster of ups and downs like I have never seen.” Said Brown. “Things are going to get better, but we would like to show you the Super Bowl.”

Brown remains “optimistic” after being able to bring back all 25 employees who were laid off during the closing of the dinner.
“This is what I do for a living,” he said. “I will not be shot for it. We will find out.”
